One of the most common comments we hear when speaking with clients about digital marketing and more so social media marketing is that they struggle to post consistently and often run out of ideas or things to say. Late last year we launched our first range of challenges for Facebook, Instagram and Youtube and everyone who took part told us it helped them a great deal. So today we are setting a new content creation based challenge for Facebook to help give you some post ideas with a schedule to help you start 2017 as you mean to go on.
Day 1: A fill in the blank post.
Not sure what it is about this kind of post but people seem to love them? You can pretty much turn any sentence into a fill in the blank post to encourage your followers to engage with your content. This could be a text or graphic based post.
Example: In 2017 I plan to…. (fill in the blank)
Day 2: An expert tip.
One of the main reasons people use the internet at all is to help them solve problems. Share a tip on a common problem in your industry or niche… you could even be the expert? Again this could be a text based, graphic or maybe even a Facebook live post.
Day 3: Inspirational content.
If you follow Focus Digital on Facebook and Instagram you will know that we love to share inspirational content and we do it in the form of graphic based motivational quotes. However you could use any medium you want to inspire your followers including video, music or graphics. Inspirational content is often one of the highest engaged types of content.
Day 4: A personal post.
One of the biggest and often most overlooked advantages you have over larger brands as a small business is that the business is you. You are free to be as engaged on a personal level with your followers as you would like and people buy from people! Today post a photo or story to differentiate yourself from the big brands that your followers might also be engaged with.
Day 5: Do your own challenge!
So for some of you this is your first challenge you have completed with us for others this maybe the 4th or 5th across a number of social media challenges we have produced. Challenges are a great way to create engagement especially if they are helping solve a problem, learn something new or make progress with something in your niche. Get creative and give your followers something to engage with not just on Facebook but across all of your social platforms.
Are you up for the challenge? We love to see what you guys create so be sure to tag us in your posts so we can see what you come up with.
